Scott H. Ruport was featured in the February Edition of the Bath Country Journal for achieving 20 years of certification as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Read the article below:

The National Board of Trial Advocacy announced that Bath resident Scott H. Ruport of the law firm Ruport Co., L.P.A. successfully achieved recertification as a civil trial advocate. Ruport has been a NBTA member for 20 years, an achievement that has been accomplished by just 13 Ohio attorneys. Approximately three percent of American lawyers are board-certified.

The NBTA was formed out of a conviction that the law profession and its clients would benefit from an organization designed to create an objective set of standards illustrating an attorney’s experience and expertise in trial law. Ruport is part of a group of attorneys that have illustrated their commitment to bettering the profession by completing a rigorous application process and providing consumers with an objective measure to choose qualified, experienced legal counsel.

The NBTA screening of credentials includes demonstration of substantial trial experience, submission of judicial and peer references, attendance of

continuing legal education courses and proof of good standing.

Ruport is licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio and Florida. He has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating of AV Preeminent and is listed in Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.
